Really quick,

I miss being a blogger.

I've been way bad at posting regularly for the past few weeks.

The other day, someone said "I don't even check your blog anymore.  You never post!"  It broke my heart.

The thing is . . . school is kickin' my hiney.  Not like, literally, but you know wha' I'm sayin'.

However, I do have some things to show and tell you guys . . . I'm at the library in the University right now, but when I get home, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a decent post a brewin' (<--witch talk).

But, just so you know, I now have Zooey Deschanel bangs.

I saw this picture
on Pinterest and decided that I needed to replicate it.  So, being the impulsive little nugget that I am, I ran into our bathroom, grabbed Mista T.'s electric razor, and chopped an inch or two off my long, swoopy bangs.  I'm sure hair dressers around the world are shuddering.  Sorry guys, I just couldn't wait.

Anyway.  Remember how a second ago I was whining about how school is wasting me?  Well, I wasn't even lying.  I need your help.  I haven't had a lot of time to make good meals for the T. and myself.  What are your favorite, quick recipes?  Preferably involving a croc pot.  Lemme know in the comments, if you get a second. I'm in need.

Okay.  See you later.

I know how that goes! When you get busy it's hard finding time, I've been struggling with that lately to. I'm sure the bangs look awesome!! When I saw her in 500 Days of summer I did the same thing I went into the bathroom with some scissors and chop chop lol!

I dyed my hair to a color close to hers. :) I like making chicken enchiladas. Its pretty quick and easy {the only way I know how to cook}. Good luck with school! I miss your posts! :)

Easiest and best roast beef ever:
1 Eye of Round Roast (can be half)
1 bag of baby carrots
1 large Vidalia onion cut into large chunks
A few red potatoes, cubed
Garlic Salt and black pepper

Dump the roast and all the vegetables into the crock pot. Put water over everything until it's about an inch deep in the pot. Sprinkle garlic salt and black pepper over roast to your taste (I use a lot). Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Enjoy!

I hope next semester is better for you!

I need those bangs! Every time I watch "New Girl" I am tempted to cut mine. A super easy dinner I like to do is throw chicken breasts in the crock pot and put in some terriyaki sauce. Let it cook 6-8 hours on low or 3-4 on high. Serve with brown rice and a veggie. Yum, yum! Another easy crock pot recipie is mac & cheese. Not very healthy, so I don't make it that often!

I bet you're darling in those bangs!

My favorite crock pot recipe is to throw in a can of everything: creamed corn, variety of beans, tomatoes and a can of chicken. Add some taco seasoning and an hour later you'll have taco soup. Top it with grated cheese, chopped onions, olives, frito chips, whatever ... it's easy and yummy!

Love her hair! Obsessed with her show, New Girl.
As for crockpot recipes - if I'm super lazy I just throw in a few frozen chicken breasts, dump BBQ sauce in & let it cook for a few hours. Then I pair it with some Rice-a-Roni, microwave style. BAM!

Yummy new recipe I tried (and loved) last night. Not in the crock pot, but takes less than 30 min including prep. Spinach Soup: 1/4 c. chopped onion, 1/2 garlic clove, 1 Tbsp. butter, 1/2 can (46 oz) chicken broth, 1/2 c. Acini de Pepe (uncooked), 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 1 10oz. pkg frozen chopped spinach, grated Parmesan to sprinkle on top. Cook and stir onion and garlic in hot butter until tender but not browned. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add pasta, nutmeg, and pepper; simmer about 5 minutes. Add chopped spinach and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt. Sprinkle with cheese. So YUM!

PS. I am your hubby's cousin. I haven't seen him forever, but Heber told me what a doll you are. He is right, and I am so happy for you two!

Totally know the feeling.

I heart the crockpot. I toss just about anything in there and call it good. A recent favorite involved chicken breast (can be frozen) a can of green enchilada sauce, about a cup of Mt. Dew (yes, the soda), a quartered onion, a quarter cup of brown sugar, and whatever seasonings you like (salt, pepper, cumin). It was kinda sweet, so I reduced the amount of soda for you. Next time I'd add maybe some green chilis or jalepenos to bump up the heat for a sweet-heat. Cook it for 6 hours or so, shred with forks, and cook another 30min-1hr. Serve with corn tortillas and taco fixings :)

Have fun!

I know what you mean! Everytime I go in for a trim the lady is like, "What on earth happened to your bangs?" lol

Yes, we may miss your posts, but school is WAY more important than us whiners on the internet.

Get a book of crock pot recipes, and let Mr. T. alternate with you cooking!

I have the same feeling about blogging all the time. I try to have fun and not stress about it, but sometimes I go crazy and think if I don't blog every day people will stop reading it, which is obviously ridiculous. Take your time with school. It's stressful for all of us :)
