Blogger Confessional

Our computer thinks it’s 2001.  It’s not, though.

According to our computer, I am eleven years old.  Did you know that eleven year olds aren’t allowed to join the Dairy Queen club?  (Did you even know that there was a Dairy Queen club?)  Apparently you have to be thirteen, or something.

If I look back at comments I’ve made on other blogs, it says I made them ten years ago.  But, it feels like it was just yesterday.  Because it was just yesterday.

My blog statistics say that this blog received the most hits in June of 2001.  But guess what?  I didn’t even have the internet in June of 2001.  I wasn’t even allowed to shave my legs at that point.

All of this brings me to a point: today I broke a commandment.  I bore false witness.  I lied to Dairy Queen’s website and told them that I was born in 1980—and thus received a coupon for a buy one get one free blizzard.

Are you ashamed of me?

Or jealous that you aren’t getting two blizzards for the price of one?

Also.  This is terrifying, Dairy Queen.
Please don't drive this to my town.

That is too funny.
Dairy Queen Club? I need to sign up!
Made me laugh because I signed on my IPOD last night and it said Dec 31, 1959 or something. It wouldn't let me download anything because of the date. When I went to reset the date I had to excuse every single alarm I had input since Dec 2009.

Haha why is your computer so confused?! I shouldn't talk... anytime I don't open my computer for a week it automatically thinks that it's 1969. Unexplainable. Inexcusable.

HAHAHAHA!! I am a member of the Dairy Queen club! Welcome on board, friend! How scary would it be to ride around in that truck?? Is that supposed to be like the local ice cream truck, because if so, it's even creepier than ordinary ice cream trucks... and that's saying something! Kudos on being a kid again- don't you miss those days? ;) Thank you so much for the sweet comment; made my day, especially coming from a beauty like you! I hope you have a fantastic weekend! :D

Mmmmm. A blizzard sounds amazing right now. I really need me some soft-serve ice cream. If only I had a car...

I pretty sure the law of honesty does not apply to frozen treats in July. In fact, you can quote me on that girl.

Yeah, if that truck drove down my street I probably hurl a rock at it before locking myself indoors. Not cool Dairy Queen.

Ooh I've never had a Dairy Queen before.. Are they good? Although that van is way scarier than our ice cream vans!

Thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog :) Sadly Michael and I are apart until next friday :( but then hopefully never again!

If I saw that thing coming down my street I would run to the basement. I can't even imagine how terrifying that is for children.

haha, I am TERRIBLE at knowing the year. This whole year I've been writing 2010 and then just a few days ago I keep thinking it's 2012. I'm just planning ahead I guess. But I almost didn't book out a car to an employee at work because his validity expires June 2012. Which is in a year, not past. FYI. That was a happy phonecall :)

This has been the funniest post I have read in a long time, especially the ending - that truck looks intimidating! ;)

Lol. I'm imagining the DQ police coming to your door and demanding $2.50 for the blizzard you didn't rightfully earn.

That truck IS scary. I kind of think vehicles associated with food are a little of what's wrong with America and its fixation on huge portions (I say, as I eat half a box of Pepperidge Farm cookies).

Thanks so much for stopping by Love is the Adventure! It was lovely to have you. Be sure to come back - I'll be hosting a fun giveaway in about...10 posts! :)
