Cleanse: Summer 2011

Alright, so a few of you mentioned that you want to learn more about the cleanse I talked about here.

Originally, I got the idea for the cleanse here.

But, this is what I did:

Day One:  All Fruits, except bananas.
Eat all the fruit you want on this day—except bananas.  You can also drink as much 100% Fruit Juice as your little heart desires.  My favorite selections for day one were:  strawberries, cantaloupes, apples, oranges, pineapple, and grapes.

Day Two:  All Vegetables.
Eat all the fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables you want.  Try to eat green, leafy vegetables and stay away from vegetables like peas and corn (these vegetables are good for you, but if you are trying to reduce calorie intake, it is best to avoid these).  You can also have a large baked potato with butter on this day.  My favorite selections for this day were:  zuchhini, spaghetti squash with purre’d tomatoes (tastes exactly like spaghetti!), Great Value frozen stir-fry (I cooked that as directed and put it in a bowl with chicken boullion.  It was awesome.), and baby carrots.

Day Three:  Fruits and Vegetables.
Same as day one and two, except for no potato.

Day Four:  Bananas and Skim Milk
Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many as 8 glasses of skim milk on this day.  My favorite thing to do was to freeze the banana and blend them with the skim milk.  It makes an awesome smoothie.

Day Five:  Chicken and Tomatoes.
You can eat 10-12 ounces of chicken or turkey and 6 tomatoes on this day.  Try to drink at least 6 glasses of water in order to wash the uric acid in the body.  *Confession*:  I didn’t do this day.  I hate plain tomatoes.

Day Six:  Chicken and Vegetables.
Eat all the chicken and vegetables you want (except for potatoes).  This was a super easy day.

Day Seven:  Miracle Soup.
Eat as much of the recipe below as you want.

2-3 Large Onions Chopped
1 Head of Cabbage Chopped
1 Green Pepper Chopped
5-6 Celery Stalks Chopped
2 Lg. Cans Diced Tomatoes (I like those with basil, oregano, garlic)
2 Pkgs. Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix

Put the chopped vegetables in a pan and pour in tomatoes that have been slightly blended in the blender. Then add enough water to cover the vegetables. Cook for about 10 minutes then add the Beefy Onion Soup Mix and cook until all the vegetables are tender.

Lemme know if any of you give this a shot!  It's really not that hard--and taught me how to incorporate more fruits vegetables into my meals.

So Yeah So said...

Looks awesome. I may give this a shot. I've been eating pretty badly the last couple of weeks.
