Perfect in my Mind

Perfect in my Mind

Be prepared to experience the most unorganized blog post you've ever read.
  • I conquered the mountain of homework . . . and sort of feel like I am forgetting how to write.  After finishing about fifty pages of essays, over the span of three days, I think my skills have been permanently numbed.
Yesterday Mista T. and I realized that we hadn't yet paid rent for the month, so we hurried our little selves over to our apartment managers' office and handed her a check.  We then proceed to the University, so I could hand in two of my essays to one of my professors.  As we were walked around campus, we realized that we wanted some food in our bellies, so we decided to dine in the student center.  Our order took a few minutes to process, so we decided to take a seat at one of the nearby tables.

As we people watched, and chatted, a girl from one of my classes approached me.  She looked kind of bewildered and asked, "Hey Chels . . . why aren't you taking the final?"  I gasped, "Whaaaaa?  I thought it was scheduled for tomorrow."  She informed me that not only was the final exam for one of my classes today, but it had started almost a half  hour ago.  I started freaking out a little bit.  She hurriedly thrust her pencil into the palm of my hand {not violently, I promise} and told me to run.  I felt like I was in a dream.  A crappy dream.

I got to the classroom just in the nick of time.  Short of breath, I explained the situation to my professor.  He sort of rolled his eyes at me and laughed and told me I could take the test.

Why do I tell you this story?  Because I think it's important to realize that we are being watched over.  I know, with full confidence, that there is a high and mighty being--who is incredibly aware of us.  I am constantly astounded by the tender mercies of our Lord.
  • Right now all I want is a doughnut.  Preferably one with sprinkles.
  • I haven't cleaned my house since Monday.  And it's kind of looking like a landfill.
  • Mista T. and I finished season one of L.A. Ink this week, and we are a little bit mad that there are not more seasons available on Netflix.
  • Every time I move off the couch, a little alarm sounds.  I'm not sure if I'm being punked right now, or what, but it's weird.
and, most importantly,
  • We're going to Disneyland on Monday.  We start our vacation off tomorrow by heading down to St. George.
(Not sure why I'm including this)

We have talked about taking a California vacation for a few months now, but the scheduling was just not coming together.  I was totally under the impression that this trip was not going to happen.  But, Monday night, as I sat at the computer, nearly keeling over from the anxiety of finals week, Mista T. put his arm around me and said, "Babe . . . do you still want to go to Disneyland?  Cause we could go this weekend, if you want to."

I wigged out with excitement.  Tears were literally rolling down my face.  I couldn't believe it.  I think Mista T. is a little bit freaked out by how excited I am about our upcoming trip. I feel like I'm a seven year old, going for the first time.  It's all I can think about.

Wow, that is an amazing blessing that you made it to your final! I'm glad that worked out.

Have a great time at Dizzy-land! We went there for our 2nd anniversary and it is SO fun to go without kids. Enjoy every minute!

My husband took me to Disneyland 2 years ago for my birthday. It was the best weekend ever. He got tickets off of KSL and packed a weekend full of food so that we didn't have to go out to eat. And it was the first time I had ever gone and it was Amazing. I even got a picture with Marry Poppins. Although I have I have since lost it.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend. You really sound like you deserve.
