Hue and Hum

Everyone is good at something.  Chris Brown is good at having tantrums.  Giselle Bundchen is good at being pretty.  And, my new blog friend, Caitlin Connolly, is good at painting.  Like really good.  Plus, she's good at being married to Fictionist guitarist Robbie Connolly.  Awesome, right?

We all have mothers.  This year, let's be good at being daughters.  Caitlin {bless her heart} wants to help.  This year she's hosting a "pay what you want" print sale over on her blog, Hue and Hum.  That's right.  You can pay whatever you want for her art.  Then she will send it to you.  Then you give it to your mama {or keep it for your greedy little self}, and feel like the best daughter in the world. Easy like Sunday morning.

Feast your eyes upon these little beauties:

Soooo good.

Super Loaded:

I've been bad at blogging this week.  Can we still be friends?

This past week has been pretty lovely.  Or maybe my endorphins are just flowing rapidly.  Why,  you may ask?

I'll tell you.

 <--This little beauty now resides
                                                                                       in our humble abode.

You can be jealous, if you want.  But it still won't buy you a Kinect.

When Mista. T. suggested we invest in one of these bad boys, I was pretty apathetic.  I am probably the last person you'd ever classify as a "gamer," and I thought the Wiii was more overrated than the Black Eyed Peas Super Bowl half time performance.

Boy, have I seen the light.  The Kinect makes dreams come true.  I recommend to you.  I even shared it as my "happy moment" in Relief Society.

Sometimes, husbands are awesome:

Like when you say, "I want to do something girly.  Like a face mask.  I wish you were into that kind of thing." And your husband replies, "Hey.  We can do that, if you want."  I wanted.  He obliged.  I should have taken an 'after' picture, because his skin was glowing with handsome-ness.

This experience also taught me a lesson:
The lesson was, I should never photograph myself without bangs.

This week was also filled with awkward and awesome moments:

I'ma go to sleep now.  Since it's after friggin midnight.  Yesterday this time it was only 11:24pm.  I miss yesterday.

This is what's up, yo.

Hi.

Today is Thursday.  Do you know what that means?

Yep.  Awkward and Awesome time.
To me, this layout seems a bit less awkward than my other one.  What do you think?  For keeps?  Or for ditching?

Uh.

On another note:

Does this terrify you?

And:

Does this make your heart melt? (That's what we were going for.)

Same dog.  Same day.

Guess what?

I don't have anything for you to guess.  I was just trying to lure you in.  Did it work?

I'm doing it again.  It's "Awkward and Awesome Thursday," kids.  Are you psyched?  I'm going to admit something to you:

this week was a little bit lame.

So, maybe, just maybe, this post is not my best.  But be prepared.  I'm capable of greater things.  I just know it.

Do you like how I still haven't figured out how to not cut off the right side?  It's been a week now, huh?  I guess I just like being awkward.  Because that's not really too awesome.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Do you read Daybook?  Because I do.  Sometimes I am a copy cat, and her "Awkward and Awesome Thursday" is  something I want to try.  With a personal twist, of course.

Refer to the venn diagram below:

Do you think it's cool that the right side of this is cut off a little?  I don't think it's that cool.  I don't know how to fix it, though.  Awkward.

Anyway.  So many weirdo things happen to me.  This may become a tradition.
