That one time I met someone famous . . .

Anyone who has talked with me in the past two weeks knows something really amazing happened to me on March 24.

Because of this moment, the Holiday Inn Express in American Fork, Utah will always hold a special place in my heart.

Because of this moment, I will never eat a continental breakfast the same way.

And, because of this moment, Meri Brown, from the TLC series "Sister Wives," and I will always be best friends.

We don't need to talk about how I met her while I was in my pajamas.  And we definitely don't need to talk about how I had pancake syrup on my chin the whole time.

But, what we do need to talk about is how I met a real TLC reality TV star.

We talked about basically everything.  Even went as far back as family history.  Jealous?

It was really cool, because I would say something and then Meri would say something back.  Like, conversation style.  I would be like, "Blah, blah, blah."  And then Meri would be all, "That sounds like something Christine would enjoy!"  or "Robin told me about that, too!" We talked for thirteen minutes. Solid.  I would have talked longer, too . . . but I really needed to get some real clothes on.

Anyway.  Do you guys watch this show?  If you don't I implore you to.  It's fascinating because it's real.  There is a lot of stigmatization applied to polygamy in the media, but this show kind of dispels a lot of the misconceptions.

Ha ha! I LOVE that you met her! When we lived in EM we totally drove by their house before they moved out of Lehi :) But never ran into them!
We have only watched the first season of the show but we were hooked. And freaked out.

I have seen the show, but honestly I can't get into it for some odd reason. I will keep my mouth shut because I don't want to say something wrong and this is YOUR blog.

Lets just say I wouldn't be able to do what those women do. Not in a million years. But it's cool you met her! I would have to say I liked her the most!
