My first remembrance of Heather Leavitt is in the first grade. It was a cold day, and ice had formed on the playground black top. I was standing by myself, looking at the shiny pool of ice when I heard little footsteps approach. I turned around to see a pretty girl with long, brown hair and poofy bangs. She suggested that we play Christmas Elves. Playing Christmas Elves basically just meant "put on your hood and stand on the ice patch" . . . but we both enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Little did I know that this little poofy bang-ed girl would turn out to be my best friend--even fourteen years later.
In a few weeks my Heather is getting married. Exciting, right? Right.
So, my friend
Laura and I threw her a bridal shower.
And people even came to it!

Way good. Especially considering the only other bridal shower I'd ever attended was my own. Ha.
