Don't worry.

Did you know that I am a complete worry wart?  Because I am.

I worry all day, every day.

I wake up in the morning and worry about how long it's going to take me to get ready.  After I get ready, I worry that I our apartment isn't clean enough.  After I tidy up our apartment, I worry about how long it just took me to straighten everything up.  Then, I head to work, and worry that I am not being fun enough for the residents.  Then I try an be more fun.  Then I worry that I am getting too tired, and won't be fun enough for my husband when I get home.  Then I try and be less fun.  Then the process starts over again.  Then I leave work and come home.  When I get home, I worry about what to make for dinner.   While making dinner, I worry about the mess I just made.  Then I relax a little.  Then I start worrying about the next day.

It's kind of dumb.

But, according to this diagram, I don't need to do that anymore.

So, I'm going to stop.

Right now I'ma go take a chill pill.

Also.  Am I the only one who does this?

hahahahah! I seriously love that! I don't worry about those things, but I worry about silly things. Things I know will never happen :)

Yeah...I do the exact same thing. I'm glad I married someone mellow.

You are definitely not alone lady, I worry about everything that crosses my path. When the cat takes a little longer to come inside I'm convinced that he's been hit by a car, when Keith forgets to call on his way home I immediately worry that its because he's trapped in a ten car pile up... I worry about being late, being early, being awkward... I'm working on it :-)

I am the same way! I worry about worrying!! Husband is the exact opposite!! I'm hoping being married to him that his "carefree" ways will rub off on me!!

And I'm now "following" you!

Um, no. You are mostly certainly not alone in the worrying. I think probably my biggest worry is about how others perceive me which is ridiculous because I really have zero control over that! But I'm constantly asking Kyle, 'Did I say the right thing? Did I sound stupid? Did I talk too much? Do you think they liked having dinner with us?' and so on.

My other train of worry is constantly focused on the worst-case scenario. Example: did I leave the iron on and will the entire apartment complex now burn to the ground because of it? will one of us be in a car accident and permanently scarred for life? what if we have trouble getting pregnant, what if that means we can't EVER have children? It goes on and on.

I haven't found a solution yet to all the worrying, although I have found that admitting to myself that most of this is utterly and completely out of my hands is a good place to start. I have to believe in the mercy of God or I will drive myself NUTS.

Thank you for the sweet comment! I am a worry wart too. If my husband says he's on his way home from school and not home in like 10 minutes I start freaking out! haha. It's normal!

One of the greatest things about getting older is that you worry less. Or at least it has worked with me. Worrying doesn't do anything at all, except damage to yourself. Worrying doesn't change what does or doesn't happen - it's a complete waste of time and energy. It has taken me (literally) decades to get to this place, but the serenity is wonderful.

Woman, I got heart palpitations just reading that post! I'm fairly anxious myself, but I just have to remember the world isn't going to change if I do something a little off.

Still, I kinda of want to blow that graph up and hang it on the ceiling above my bed. I spend a lot of time there wondering if my child is going to grow up to be a serial killer or my dog is going to choke on a cherry tomato in the garden. You know, the regular.

This is me to a T. I worry ALL the time. I was up until 4 A.M. worrying about something I don't even remember now. Love the chart, because it always boils down to just relaxing. Gotta say, SO much easier said than done at times, but it'd be interesting to try relaying this in our minds for a week straight and see how things change. Besides, we're women; it's what we do. Worry warts, UNITE!!

You are SO not the only one to do this! I worry way too much! Hence my appreciation for this cute little chart :) Easier said than done... But maybe it'll help if I print it out big and stick it somewhere I can see it, like above my bed!
